To clean the lavalieres smudged with make-up and pop filters smeared with lipstick, use ready-to-use alcohol swipes. These can stain these microphone parts and attract more dirt. The alcohol on the swipes can easily dissolve these oil-based materials but rapidly evaporates without making its way into the mike element. These swipes are readily obtainable in groceries or drug stores.
